This is not a real minesweeper. People that plays fast with "second button", forget it.

I love it! a grate time-waster fantastic job, keep up the good work!
Its great, but could someone tell me how to change the size of the board please?
Sometimes when Im playing, it wont let me click to get rid of the box but it will let me still lay a flag on the box. Its just annoying because it delays the game while the timer is still running.
Its a good little program, and works good. The only thing that kept it from being 5/5 is that when I installed the update I lost all my high scores and settings. Hopefully it wont happen with the next update.
With the update the whole package looks alot more "Mac OSX-ish". The new icon is fantastic. The interface seems more clean now. Other then that, standard review: PROS* Works perfect. No hang-ups. If you want "Minesweeper for Mac", you got it. Custom games are really easy to start and make it way more fun then standard windows version. Simple. Simple is good for this kind of "widget-like" game. CONS* Just design inside really. Not perfectly mac-ified yet - could use a more artistic approach to the board design. (IE The blue colors you use for the checkers are old-school mac colors and look a bit flat) If you added the 3D effect that the icon has, and applied it to the flags and numbers added a bit of shading, life would be dandy.
Looks good, easy to play, and before you know it a couple of hours are down the drain!
okay , the app is fun , but theres a problem with the 2.4 update , it keeps saying me that i need to update . i updated it over 10 times , and like each 2 , 3 days the 2.4 update comes back over and over .. any clues ?
I could say its better than the Windows version! ;D
Franklins Minesweeper is very neat looking, both in the "cool" and the "tidy" senses of the word. I like the default colours, although you do have the option in preferences to change them (how often is water purple? who cares). The numbers are a little bigger than Im used to, but that just makes it easier on the eyes. Design-wise, I think its a winner. As for the game itself, its classic Minesweeper with some new - and welcome - features. I like that the first click in a game always results in a reveal - I cant tell you how many times I used to click and auto-lose in other versions. Flagging is easy using a Magic Mouse, and I was happy to see theres also a ? option. The Intermediate setting seems tougher than I remember other versions being, but that might be just because Im terrible at the game. I do enjoy the challenge though. The cursor path tracking feature seems like a bit of a novelty, but its a fun sort of novelty. Overall Id give it a 5/5, and recommend it to anyone else who loves Minesweeper. I know Ill be wasting countless hours on it, thinking "one more game, one more game..."
Great Minesweeper app, although Ive run into problems trying to run it on OS X Lion. The window is small and wont expand. It makes clicking boxes almost impossible becuase of how small theyve become. Please fix!
Im stuck on the beginner level. cant figure out how to advance to the next levels.
waste a lot of time though… :)
Great design. Id like to see some more stats (games played, wins, etc.). Hopefully those updates keep rolling out.
In the classic minesweeper if there was a diagonal 1 nothing around it could be mines.... they appear to have taken that rule out
Classic game but could use keyboard controls. Say "Z" for clear and "Space" for flag.
It doesnt give you many options to play a larger board and if you dont click new game right away then it closes the option and you have to exit the game and go back in to play again. Id like to play a larger playing field.
Good, but more stats (especially games played & games won) would be nice.
I like that the first click always opens the board up. This is great in that you can start a new game instantly rather than with all other minesweeper versions Ive tried, you have to keep trying squares and keep restarting until you find an opening rather than a mine. The interface is clean and tidy which is very nice too. I dont like it how the game doesnt let you stop the clock in any way if you need to pause for a moment while on the way to a better speed time. Even if you put your computer to sleep it still logs those minutes while your computer was off towards your completion time. A lot of time gets wasted when the field freezes and it doesnt let you reveal any squares until you go and flag and then unflag a square. This sometimes doesnt work right away and you have to flag and unflag and flag and unflag squares before you can start revealing squares again. This is very annoying especially when you get a few bouts of these in a row. It would be very welcome if there was another alternative to flagging squares other than using the secondary click. You can do 50 two-finger secondary clicks successfully but that 51st time when the computer thinks you clicked with just one finger, the board blows up. Many games are lost this way unless you use the control-click method but that only works if youre happy playing with your right hand on the trackpad all the time. If you want to use your left hand you have to cross your right arm over your left arm to reach the control key. Allowing for keyboard input would make this game more physically comfortable to play. I also am puzzled why this game takes up as much processor power as it does. I have more than enough RAM and a half decent processor and it uses it up enough that the fans fire up a little. This game ran smoother on my old 386 in 1992. Tracking high scores in the 30x24 mode would be excellent.
Version 2.7.2 (272) now consumes 50% CPU power of 2 cores on my Mac Mini (OS10.6.8) during play. Now its impossible to play at all, sometimes the game doesnt react on mouse clicks!
