playing with track pad is slow, no mine mark with mouse

I prefer playing with mouse for speed but then lose ability to mark mines. Alo would like it if it kept track of win loss ratio and more than just fastest speed, maybe top ten. had to download another game to be able to play more than beginner. Sometimes game lcks up and I have to exit out and restart. Very annoying.

just as good if not better than MS minesweeper

i was addicted to MS minesweeper when i used windows. now i’m addicted to this one. it’s the only game in my dock :-/ much like the original, it loads super quickly no matter what all is running already and plays clean - simple and sleek - so i can twiddle with it when a call comes in on google voice or when waiting for something to up/download. also the color mods are awesome - if anything makes this game better than the original it’s the color mods. i think new MS minesweeper does that, too, but i doubt it still runs as clean as it used to. simple yet awesome addition to your nervous stimulation :)

excellent. one suggestion

excellent. i would like to see a data field with games played, games won and the percentage, like that of original ms windows.

missing something to make it truly special

Button clicks needs to have a depth to their clicks, otherwise it feels like you’re just pressing on blank canvas.

Great rendition of a classic game

Fantastic; best one on the app store and I tried 2 others before settling on this one!

Great interface and design but slow

I love the minimalist interface and ability to customize so many of the game’s settings. My one gripe is that whenever I play this game, my laptop gets very hot and the fan goes crazy. This makes no sense considering that Minesweeper is in no way graphics intensive. Developers—please make Minesweeper run more efficiently! It eats right through my battery. Make it run more efficiently and I’ll change my rating to 5 stars.

Good game.

I enjoy this game.

The right-click foul-ups

I love the game - quick loading, challenging in terms of attention to detail and logic - yet also have had occasional blow-ups caused by a right-click registering as a left-click and a BOOM result. I’ve found that this happens almost exclusively with non-dedicated right-click buttons - the smooth-top Apples, for instance - and not much if at all when right- and left- click buttons are physically distinct.

OK but lacking full set of “classic” features

Seems stable, and the UI is ok though it’s not the “classic” Minesweeper grid. The real items lacking though are the “question mark” marker state, and also the ability to click on a number that’s been revealed to highlight the surrounding squares for quick identification. The “double-clicking” on a number (versus right-clicking) to clear out the surrounding hidden squares is a UI choice but I could get used to it except for the other items. Going to go looking for a full implementation somewhere else.

It works ok, until

Very underwhelming interface— for those who enjoy operating visually pleasing programs. That being said, sometimes, the right click decides to randomly turn into a left click. Almost beat two games when I had this happen, and this is only within a 60 minute period after downloading this game. It was extremely annoying.

Poor Algorithm

Too often the algorithm used to layout mines results in games that are unwinnable without guessing.
