Minesweeper! App Reviews

Downloaded the paid version. All you get is beginners level. Did not respond to left or right clicks. Don’t buy. This is a 2012 version and probably was never made for OS X.

The mechanics and everything work well. My only complaint is that there is a delay in between clicking and the response, which can really add up if youre going for speed; It has cost me a game or two because Ill move the mouse before the response and I end up clicking a bomb square instead of the one I wanted.

Sometimes when i attempt to flag the grid (two finger click) it does a normal click instead...ending my game for me. I love minesweeper so please fix this!

This minesweeper is very slow to respond. It stinks compared to Microsoft minesweeper. Theres so much lag in the clicking that the game cant be played fast. Very frustrating. I would not recommend this. Still looking for a decent minesweeper for mac.

I really enjoy playing this version. It took a few tries to figure out what keys to press to insert flags, but once I did, it was great fun!!

Does the job in a nice interface. One feature Id like to see added is being able to have lives. I hate when I have to guess a mine on the last move and I pick the wrong one.

So the update is for 10.7 only!! Not cool.

What the hell, I need lion to run minesweeper! Its not even that good of a minesweeper game. The graphics are basic and it doesnt even have sound, why does it need lion?

So much time spent mine sweeping! Having troble beating the hard level but it just makes it that much more awesome!

THE UPDATE ERASED MY RECORDS!!!! WHY

Very nice looking, customizeable, and fast. And most importantly, it works. Perfect for killing 5 minutes, and as long as I keep telling myself that its a brain game, and good for me, I dont have to feel guilty about playing.

Looks good and plays well. The inspector window is a cool feature that shows all the statistics for your game. The new replay function is what Ive always wanted! I wish the scoreboard was a little more careful with the reset button. There is no confirmation for it and it is right next to the close button, so Ive accidentally clicked it before, erasing all my scores. Also unhappy with the erasing of the scores with the update! All in all, this is the best minesweeper you will ever find.

The cleanest, most user-friendly minesweeper app available. Definitely worth the price.

It is impossible to play the game on expert mode and win without completely guessing several locations. Its infuriating, really.

Its a pretty good version of the game, but it is lacking a pause function… And I am missing it! If something comes up that needs my attention I hate just letting my time keep going. Please add a pause!

This app periodically has a pop-up soliciting users to review it in the App Store. I am responding to that spam. I find fhis kind of pop-up revolting. As a matter of policy, any program that uses pop-ups this way to slolicit reviews will get one -- with a one-star rating. This is a decent app, but spamming your customers is unacceptable.

The game is very simple and easy to use. Never gets old

If you really just want to play minesweeper, this gets the job done. Its just not very pretty about it. Personally, I prefer feeling like Im clicking a button. The unclicked spaces dont look like buttons; more like a blue checkered tablecloth.

Too often when I am right clicking to place a flag it blows up the mine. Very frustrating especially since I agree it is not pretty and too frequently requires simple guessing when you have worked through most of the grid. Would also like the pause function suggested by one player.

I love this app, its more gorgeous than the original game. I would, however, like it if the squares were more distinguishable from one another. All of them kind of blend together and theyre rather hard to see. It looks more like a solid color.
